This research aims to identify what is mentioned in the most prominent Ethiopian sources and texts written in Ge'ez regarding the era of the Martyrs of Najran in the sixth century AD, to reveal and analyze the Ethiopian perspective in a literary manner, and how it portrays the historical and social events and their religious, economic, and political dimensions. Hence, the importance of choosing this research lies in clarifying the state of Ethiopian history during that historical period, represented by the role of the Kingdom of Aksum and its most famous kings, shedding light on the incident of the Martyrs of Najran (the People of the Trench), and examining the role of King Kaleb, and the assistance of the Patriarchate of Alexandria and the Eastern Roman Empire, in suppressing the religious revolts that flared up between Christians and Jews, liberating Yemen from the Jews, and restoring security and peace to Yemen.
